The Westland Wasp was a derivative of the Scout army helicopter. It was developed in the fifties as a small naval; helicopter for naval duties and operations from a frigate flight deck. It could carry two homing torpedoes.

With the Royal Netherlands Navy beginning in the late 1960s Wasp helicopters were used. They operated e.g from Dutch frigates like the Van Speijk class anti-submarine frigates. MLD 860 Naval Air Squadron received 12 Wasp helicopters between November 1966 and June 1967. The last of the Dutch Wasps were eventually withdrawn from service in 1981 when they were replaced by the Westland Lynx.

In 1/72 scale there is the AIrfix kit of the Scout, that needs conversion. In 1/48 scale Fujimi had a Wasp kit.
