The Saab 32 Lansen was a two-seat, high transsonic attack aircraft produced by SAAB for the Swedish Air Force (Flygvapnet). In the beginning of the nineteen fifties Sweden wanted a strike aircraft. Design 32 emerged and it proved to be a capable all weather aircraft. About 118 aircraft were built from 1955 to 1960 . It was also used as fighter and for reconnaissance, electronic warfare and a target-tug aircraft. The last combat Lansen flew until around 1978, the target tugs until 1997.
