The Spijker company was a Dutch car company but Henri Wijnmalen started to manufacture aircraft in 1917 in a facility of Trompenburg in Amsterdam. The V.2 was a two seat biplane trainer. The prototype of the V.2 flew in March 1918 and it was fitted with a Thulin A engine of 80 hp. Some 78 aircraft were manufactured.

Spijker Trompenburg V.2

This is a replica of the V.2 but it is fitted with an orginal Thulin engine and propeller. It bears the markings of a Royal Netherlands Naval Flying Service (Marineluchtvaartdienst MLD) V.2, coded "C-16" as flown from 1918-1924. The replica is in the collection of the Aviodrome at Lelystad airport.
