The Grumman G-44 Widgeon is a American small, five-person, twin-engined, amphibious aircraft. First flight was in 1940. It was designated J4F by the United States Navy for anti-submarine role and Coast Guard and OA-14 by the United States Army Air Corps and United States Army Air Forces. The British Royal Navy called it the Gosling and it was also used in Brazil, Uruguay and several other countries. Over 300 were manufactured including 40 license manufactured built in France by SCAN.

G-44A Widgeon

This G-44A coded N663G was builkt in 1945 and later upgraded to Super Widgeon.  It is on display at the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs, Colorado (USA).

A few plastic scale models of the Widgeon were released. In 1/48 by AZ Model and Classic Airframes. In 1/72 Airfix had an old kit and later Classic Plane, Pavla and Kovozavody Prostejov.
